Inter Coach Jose Mourinho: My Tactics Will Decide Whether Balotelli Plays Against Juventus

Balotelli has indeed been included in the 21 man squad for the high-profile clash at the Stadio Olimpico. Meanwhile, it's confirmed midfielder Wesley Sneijder will miss out due to injury.

Inter face Juventus in the Derby d'Italia on Saturday evening, a match which has gathered plenty of press coverage due to last year's incident involving striker Mario Balotelli

During the 1-1 draw in Turin last season, the player was reportedly harassed by the crowd as they directed chants towards him which may have been of a racist nature and the clubs are keen to avoid another similar incident.

There were suspicions that the starlet could be left out by coach Jose Mourinho in order to avoid any controversy, but the Portuguese boss has indicated that will not be a factor in his decision.

When asked if he would omit the Italy Under-21 international, the former Chelsea manager explained only his tactics would dictate whether Balotelli was present on the pitch or not.

"Purely technical [choices]," he responded to inter.it, seemingly unconcerned with the sub-plot developing around the match.
