Jose Mourinho: Inter Will Still Be Top Of Serie A If We Lose To Juventus

Inter coach Jose Mourinho has played down the importance of the derby d'Italia against Juventus, claiming his side will still be in an advantageous position regardless of the result.

His side travel to Turin knowing a win will all but put the sword to Juve's title hopes. The Nerazzurri are currently eight points ahead of third placed Juve. Despite all the hype, rivalry and tradition surrounding the game, as well as its significance, Mourinho is treating it as just another fixture on the calendar.

"The certainty is that we will come back from Turin still ahead of Juventus," the coach told the press.

"For me it's just a game worth three points, just like the rest of them. I'm not from Italy so there is no particular significance for me.

"They [Juventus] know the pressure is on them as their next two games are decisive."

Inter are not lacking in confidence. 'Mou' is aware of Juve's qualities, but believes his side can raze any challenge.

"Juve have great experience and they know how to play these games. I am expecting a team who wants to do well, but they know that playing us will be hard for them," he concluded.
